OK, You've chosen to "GO WILD" and move past the basic mods in the "Mild" street package - where do we go from there?

We have the same short list as the mild, but the emphasis is on a higher level of performance at the expense of some comfort. In order to do that you will give up some ride compliance, and more parts will be added that increase the total weight loss. So, where so we start? The same bits..... just more better. Obviously you can go even more insane on the $ at this level, but again, keep in mind that these are "bang for the buck" packages. If you have more flash cash, we can certainly spend it for you.

Brakes:

The Brake Upgrade we have selected is the Racing Brake Plus 2 setup with 2 piece open slot rotors as it fits under the 17" OEM rims and 99% of the aftermarket rims currently in use while providing an even larger increase in heat processing capability over the Racing Brake Plus 1 setup used in the "Mild" upgrade. If you have a 1997+ you also get a nice increase in the rotor diameter for increased brake "torque". You guys driving the older cars will be amazed. RB SS lines, Project MU street/track performance pads and Ate high temp brake fluid round out this package.

Wheels:

While wheel appearance is often the deciding factor for most people and who cares if the car can't get out of its own way after you put them on, this page is all about track level performance at the best price. With that in mind we have selected the Enkei RPF1 in 17 X 8.0" and 18 X 9.5". Weighing in at only 15.66lbs front and 18.50lbs for the rear they will save you several lbs EACH over the 16/17" or 17/17" stock rims and up to 10lbs each over some of the other so called performance rims out there. They also allow for the fitment of some nice wide up to date performance tires like the Falken 615s we prefer.

Suspension:

Since this is moving away from a primarily street car package that can also play at the track if called upon to a weekend tracker that can also commute, a warranty and long life is less important than saving weight and more tuning capability for dialed in performance. With that in mind, we have selected the TEIN MonoFlex height adjustable coil over kit to hold you off the ground. In addition, a set of the Dali Street/Race Swaybars tame what body roll is left - YIKES!!! I ought to have all of that on my car. Throw in a set of Type-R front and Dali rear chassis bars, and you will soon be a legend in your own mind.

Headers/Exhaust:

The OEM exhaust manifold designing department must have been where they ran out of $ - what a restrictive boat anchor the early cars came with! You 1997+ guys are luckier in that regard, still, even the newer cars can get a few more ponies out of a set of tuned headers and loose some weight in the process. Couple a set of nice street legal headers from Comptech or DC Sports with a civilized yet sporty exhaust like the DC Sports or Dali and what have you got? + 25 HP and a sound that you will like and the SO can live with. While we are there we will install our baffled oil pan.

Intake & Fuel system:

The OEM intake has the right idea, (cold air) but it kills all the great sounds inside the motor. We modify your OEM airbox with the addition of a free flowing APEXi filter in our Stealth INtake mod and channel more air in the right direction with a Dali FAIS. Just to make sure it is all working like it is supposed to we clean the injectors.

Next we pop in the Dali Dry NOS kit. This is a completely hidden (all connections inside the OEM airbox) computer controlled kit so that you can have your NOS and save your motor from popping a cork too. We use the VENOM VCN2000 computer module programmed in linear mode for safe operation. Feel like passing that V8? - hit the button.


Well there you are. You've lost weight and gained HP at the same time. There are more tweaks we can do to lower the weight or add more of this or less of that, but you get the general idea. The car will still have the reliable character that made you buy it in the first place but you will be able to feel the difference every time you drive it. At least until you get used to it anyway.... but that is what we are here for! Remember that these are just our suggestions - we can do whatever you want.
